The service was beyond horrible. I was on a business trip and needed a receipt for my expenses so I went inside and asked for one. He yelled at me for not being able to get one from the machine outside. He also yelled again when I asked to use the restroom even though I was a paying customer. I was already tired and stressed as I was traveling alone and this did not help at all. Please take your business somewhere else. There is a Chevron just down the street that I wish I had seen before I stopped here. If I could give zero stars I would. I'm on a 9000 mile trip with my wife and two small children. Filled up here as it was late and didn't see the chevron down the street. Long story short, I am the third victim in 4 days of bad gas according to the garage in Fairbanks. The first thing the mechanic asked was if we filled up at this station given our location in Denali NP. Now having my truck towed to Fairbanks ($675) have to pull the tank, evacuate the fuel, clean the filter, and injectors. All in all, over a grand because this place doesn't care. Tried calling to kindly let them know there may be an issue and before more people get stranded in the middle of nowhere. The person was rude, asked if I had a receipt (pump was out of paper and it was after hours so no receipt). Total sheister. STAY AWAY!! This owner is a horrible person. I went in to use the restroom while my wife pumped gas, and the moment I entered the shop the old man yells "NO COFFEE!!" I realized he had seen the empty coffee cup in my hand, so I said "oh, no...this is just trash". He yells "I DON'T WANT YOUR TRASH, G____MMIT!!" I thought he was joking so I half chuckled as I took a step toward the restroom. He then started to raise his cane and said "NO F___ING COFFEE, NO F___ING TRASH G____MMIT!!" I calmly replied "fine, I'm just going to use your restroom" and he started screaming even louder "NO RESTROOM NO COFFEE NO NO NO G____MMIT!!!!" I said "my wife is pumping gas, I'm going to use the restroom!" and he continued screaming more of the same. So I stormed out, stopped the pump as quickly as I could, and we made our way down the road. Unfortunately he got some of my money, but I thought I'd warn others. He can't go out of business soon enough. We stopped for gas and went inside to pre-pay since the only pump available didn't have a card reader. The old native man inside punched buttons repeatedly until he frustratedly threw the money back at my girlfriend and in an angry tone said "I can't take your money" while angrily waving his hands in the air and then sat back down in his chair. When my girlfriend asked "where the next nearest gas station was" he simply replied "down the road" not indicating which direction. When she asked "how far is it?" he got even angrier and started yelling "I don't know, I DON'T KNOW, OKAY??". This sorry sack of "you-know-what" clearly doesn't know how to treat another human being - let alone a woman. Furthermore, every pump except two had cardboard with "doesn't work" written on it. Clearly this place doesn't maintain their equipment and you can guess what that means about their holding tanks for gas. You'll probably get some dirty gas here and end up taking your vehicle to the mechanic for a new fuel filter or fuel pump soon thereafter. There is a Chevron not even a quarter mile north. They take cards and all their pumps work and probably have cleaner gas. This sorry excuse for a business doesn't deserve your money - or to even exist. I'm happy to report he didn't get a cent from us, but the Chevron did and will again on our way back home. I was on my way from Anchorage to Denali with my father in-law and 2 brothers in-law when we stopped here for a restroom break. When we entered the place was dusty and the bananas were looking pretty bad. The cashier appeared to be annoyed that we were there so I didn't say anything. I used the bathroom, grabbed some peanuts, and went to the register. The cashier mumbled and looked very elderly so instead of trying to use my card I had my brother in-law pay for everything at once with cash. When we were walking out the door the cashier started talking to us, asking us where we were from and making small talk. After he warmed up to us he told us a story about the coldest day he remembered back in 1984. He showed us a newspaper article that he saved showing how cold it was and let us look at it and take pictures. Sure this gas station isn't brand new and you're not going to get the "customer service" expected elsewhere now days, but remember where you are and what it means to the owner. Give the guy a break, remember he's a person too and be thankful that there is a gas station at all.
